Packed full little blower

Love this little beast. Saved us two Summers in a row without fail. Has wifi, water hookups to make it a swamp cooler. Regular AC as expected and fan. Comes with a remote control and everything needed to hook exhaust out window or custom cutout to screw exhaust plume on a more permanent basis. Can't go wrong with buying.

The AC machine cools the room down, but at night in cool mode (NOT SLEEP) it eventually goes into a complete silent state where all fans power down. Once cooling is required due to temperature; All fans turn back on and the condenser fan goes into a very high speed that is excessively loud and causes me to wake up throughout the night. I want the evaporator fan to stay on at all times in cooling mode but there is no setting on the unit or the app. I can't return the unit so I'm stuck with this overpriced junk. I previously checked reviews regarding noise. I would have been ok with total volume, but I'm not okay with the instant change from complete silence to noise. Do not buy this for your bedroom.

Noisy when running on high. Installation on wide windows was difficult. The parts provided didn't match what was in the instructions. Screws weren't long enough. Hopefully it cools my daughter's apartment.

Great for a smaller space

I bought this to reduce electrical usage. I live in a small park model trailer home. The park model equiped roof top central air pulls a lot of electricity according to my energy supplier. The roof top unit worked well but not efficiently. The only thing I don't like about this GE portable is the noise. It is a noisy operating air conditioner. It cools about 2/3 of trailer well but doesn't make the front bedroom very cool but I have limited space for efficiency placement of the unit. Yesterday the compressor kicked out and wouldn't come back on until I unplugged the unit for few minutes before replugging it back in. After this reset it seems to be ok. Time will tell. Overall I think the unit does what it's supposed to. Controls work well by remote control or just using the dashtop. I don't use the wifi feature yet.

An absolute waste of money. Los Angeles is currently over 100 degrees so we were relying on this $450 purchase. But the unit has begun to ONLY blow out hot air. Before this it was barely cooling our 300 square foot room. WHAT DO YOU DO NOT GE???

Great unit for a medium size room

We recently experienced a power outage for 6 days. I have an 80 year old family member that needed a cool room. We had a generator which we used to power fans throughout our home. That was not good enough so we bought a GE portable air conditioner to help in that single room. Problem solved. This was a great investment!

False Instructions, and Portables Kind of Suck

High price to cool a small room. 7000-7550 BTU is actually a misrepresentation for a single hose portable unit. Because the compressor is indoors, it draws cool air from inside (that it just cooled). It also is loud, and inconsistently so, unlike a window unit. Most importantly however, the instructions are literally incorrect and you are not provided with sufficient components to solidly install this particular model. Complete waste of time and money that I intend to return in short time.

Poor installation instructions

Very difficult to install due to poor instructions. The part called (grill) is pictured as an oval but the actual part is a larger rectangle. There are no close-up pictures showing how to attach the grill to the panel and the exhaust nozzle. The provided screws are too short to put them all together. We rigged them together without screws but I'm not sure how long it will last.
