I love the size and features. Really a great dryer, except, the electrical control panel started to short out about 3 years into having it (right when our warranty was expired). We were able to wiggle the start button and get it to run for another year, but now need to replace the control panel at a cost of ~$700 for parts & labor.
We shouldn't have to choose between a repair or a brand new appliance after only 4 years.

Easy to read and understand the front control panel.
Dryer door doesn't always latch closed when shut. Sometimes it takes two attempts to securely close. This is only a minor inconvienence.

We've had this for a year and we love the features, gentleness on clothes and the flexibility to dry the items however you wish. The tub is huge and easily holds large and/or bulky items.

Buying this dryer was like stepping from the stone age to the 21st century, which is good, because that's the century I'm living in. It drys clothes in a fifth of yhe time as my old dryer, and plays a pleasant tune to start, leaving you with the feeling that not only are your clothes being taken care of, but the world is a better place because you're drying. I believe it actually improved my marriage.

I've had my GE RightHeight gas dryer for less than two weeks. Yesterday while drying one set of sheets the dryer started to make a loud noise. I stopped it and checked the lint trap, moved the sheets around so they weren't tangled. Turned it back on and it seemed to work okay. I dried a second set of sheets and the noise started again about 15 minutes into the cycle. This time I turned off the "Detangle" feature and this seemed to solve the problem. We'll likely have to have a service person out to check the dryer to see what is wrong with it. I'm very disappointed. I chose GE because I believed GE was a better product.

I have noticed if you set the dryer to the auto detect feature, clothes come out damp. I use the timed dry feature and set to just over an hour and everything comes out dry.

Recently replaced a 12yo GE dryer. This one has nice updated features. the inside light is a nice touch. Performance seems to dry quicker than the old one it replaced. Controls seem to be fairly intuitive. 5-stars IF it opened on the left instead of right. (Yes, this can be changed with a few screws swapped.)

SO -- my old dryer died and it was replaced with this beauty! i LOVE the height, the reversible door, the size of the drum and the features. For instance -- the steam assist and the untangle features are so nice (I use steam all the time!) -- ANYWAY --this machine was so good -- I bought the washer to go with it!!

My wife L O V E S her washer and the steam dryer is a sister joy. She loves the steam feature which really cuts into her ironing load. While both units are high capacity she likes being able to do small loads any time. She says the machines look so professional; makes her feel good using them.

Very nice dryer and the right height concept is surprisingly notable when loading and unloading. Our valve in the back of the dryer leaked slowly as soon as we received it. Clothes at the back of the dryer after a cycle would get wet from soaking up the water from this slow leak. We never chose the de-wrinkle feature and it still leaked. Had to get that inlet valve replaced. All is good now and the valve was covered under warranty of course.

It's a little tough to clean but otherwise it's an excellent washer. The rightheight base was really helpful at elevating the platform without costing an arm and a leg.

I purchased this dryer and matching washer after my last gas dryer caught fire and I am thrilled with everything about it! I reviewed many different makes and models and after reading customer reviews I chose GE and I am thrilled with my decision. Granted it is costly, but its efficiency is only surpassed by its size! I used to take my comforters to a laundry matt but now I can wash and dry without leaving my house! Fantastic product and I am thrilled with this machines performance!

I am very happy with my new GE dryer. I like that I didn't have to buy the extra storage drawers because of the built-in riser. The dryer has so many settings, I can dry my clothes or bedding just how I want. I've used the steam feature several times and it gets the wrinkles out if I've left a load in the dryer too long. The only negative is the latch is a little weird. You have to kind of slam the door shut "just right" to get the door to close. Please work on that! Otherwise, it's been perfect.

I was a bit overwhelmed with all the setting choices at first but find I have used most of them and quite successfully......such as the steam and warm up. The reverse action of the spin really does prevent the tangles.

I bought this dryer 1 month ago and I absolutely love it! It is so easy to use, efficient when using the "quick dry" option, and has a little chime to let you know that it is done. I like how functional it is with the pre-programmed options and that you can adjust any of the options to meet your needs. I also love that it is already raised up on pedestals so you don't have to pay the extra money to buy them separately. I am very happy with my purchase.

We bought this dryer to replace one that just wouldn't dry our clothes. No matter what was fixed/changed it just wouldn't work. This one has done a Great Job from day 1. It's also very quiet and IMO it's quick to dry our clothes.
