Dryer had minimal heat on installation (early July) . Within two weeks of purchase of this "commercial quality" dryer, it has failed. There are apparently two sensors defective according to the GE authorized repair person. No heat on any setting!! We have to wait for 2-3 weeks for parts and installation. Local dealer has been unresponsive to our concerns and will not contact me. I have little confidence in the quality of the machine and I have asked owner of appliance store to either replace the bad appliance or refund my $1000. The owner of the dealership is hiding behind his salespersons and will not speak with me directly.. Probably will never buy GE again.

Down venting was a challenge. Only been in use 2 weeks would need more time to give any stronger review. Seems to do the job. Initially a metallic sound had us concerned but that noise has stopped after 3 loads.

We have to run the dryer through multiple cycles to get clothes dry. They come out wrinkled regardless of setting. Very disappointed.

Capacity and efficiency seem to be just about right. The cycle finished, notification buzzer is terribly loud. The barrel seems to be a little noisy when a large load is drying.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5th star is because of the inability to turn off the widly loud buzzer. The washer from the set has a lovely lyrical sound. In the future, I recommend changing the dryer to have the same if you won't provide an option to turn it off.

I purchased this electric model to replace a gas dryer as part of my home electrification plan. I always follow the recommendation of my regular (over 25 years!) appliance salesperson. I was looking for a large-capacity dryer for handling duvets. This model is also labeled "Commercial Quality," and has a reputation for durability. It has plenty of features, most of which I have not yet explored.

This dryer does not get very hot. The load even when dried for twice the cycle on maximum "More Dry" still leaves elastic waist bands cold. Also the interior light immediately went out and is now somewhat intermittent. I bought the washer as well and am as disappointed in it also! Both JUNK!!!

The buzzer on this dryer has no off switch and it is extremely loud and startling. It alarms more than once to signal different time in the dry cycle. That along almost has me reconsidering this purchase. The other thing I don't like is there is no low heat option. I wish it had that. Performance wise it dries well. There always seems to have lint flying out the door when I open it. I clean the lint filter after every cycle but it doesn't seem to capture it all and some falls out into the floor.

Dryer is very simple but is very efficient. Position of controls on panel looks a little odd. Centering them would have been much more appealing. Also, depth of drum is a little too shallow and clothes fall out when opening dryer door while running. Otherwise, the dryer does what it is supposed to do very well. Happy with purchase.

Have only used it once so far so not a lot of experience with it yet. A huge plus is that it fits into the tight spot that I have and has the same good capacity of my old dryer. I haven't bought a dryer in 20 years; and I discovered that nowadays most dryers are too deep to fit in the space I have for it that once accommodated many brands of dryers with robust features. This time around I had very few other options without having to give up a lot of capacity. If it had 2 more settings it would be much better: 1) A low heat setting (it has only, high, medium and fluff (no heat). 2) An off switch for the annoying alarm at the end of the cycle. My old GE dryer had both of these features and then some. GE does make a similar dryer with low, medium and high heat but no fluff, which I use all the time, so I had to compromise. But again, grateful that it fits in my small space without giving up the capacity I had in my old dryer.

The inside of the dryer looked smaller but the capacity is better than I thought. The controls are very basic and easy to use. The clothes are always dry in a reasonable amount of time. I would say that it is energy efficient. The only thing loud about the dryer is the end of cycle buzzer.

We recently bought the GE GTX52EASP1WB 6.2 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Dryer, and it™™s been fantastic so far. It™™s easy to use, dries clothes thoroughly and efficiently, and has just the right capacity for a family-sized load.
What we really appreciate is how simple and effective this dryer is ™" no overly complicated settings or gimmicks, just solid performance every time. It heats quickly, handles bulky items well, and keeps up with our busy laundry schedule.
One thing to note: the end-of-cycle beep is pretty loud. It doesn™™t bother me too much ™" in fact, it's a good reminder that the load is done ™" but it might be something to consider depending on where your laundry area is located.
Overall, we are really happy with this purchase. The 5-year limited warranty is a nice bonus, and it feels like a quality appliance that™™s built to last. Highly recommended if you want a reliable, no-fuss dryer!

The lint filter does not catch the lint and it ends up in the patio. When I first got the dryer the lint filter was working fine, But over time it stopped catching the lint. It is a fire hazard - filling up the exhaust pipe with lint. I called for a warranty service and the repair person stated that there is nothing he could do. He also added that he saw this problem in the newer GE dryers. This is a defective product.

Outstanding features of the dryer are capacity and performance. It nicely handles large loads of bath towel and of multiple sets of bed sheets ... queen size! The buzzer on the dryer is a trifle too loud for us (the laundry is right next to the bedroom and we tend to throw in a load just before going to bed - perhaps the volume can be adjusted). The controls are very easy to use - not too complicated or excessive range of options to choose from. All in all, we're happy.

Besides the end of cycle Buzzer being extremely loud, it's a nice sized dryer and dries efficiently. Whether it's my clothes, my husband's thick heavy cloths or bedding such as blankets are all dry the first time meaning less running time = saving energy. The control knobs move smoothly from one setting to the next. I'm very pleased with my dryer purchase.

I installed this dryer (GTX52EASPWB) on 9/7/21. It is still running great. BUT the lint filter is poorly designed. The lint bypasses the filter and goes into the chamber leading to the exhaust duct. This chamber is narrow and deep, therefore very hard to clean out. Before I started using the dryer, I purchased a 22-inch long and narrow vacuum attachment made by Miele that fits into that chamber. I also purchased a 24-inch-long handled and narrow, Swiffer duster that fits into that chamber. Before each use I remove the lint filter, clean it and using the two tools mentioned above - clean that chamber. If you don't want to take the time and effort to clean this chamber each use, you're going to have air duct clogs and a noticeable change in dryer performance, not to mention needing a service call.

The machine was a scratch and dent purchase. Never buy a Scratch and dent dryer. The drum bangs into the dent. The noise it makes to tell us that the clothes are dry is deafening. Sounds like my smoke alarm going off. Plus the clothes are never dry. Sixty minutes and just damp.
