Too much work to make it work!

This pan is a joke. It took forever to arrive. Then, it took forever to figure out how to pair it. The directions included with the pan were not at all helpful. I got better directions from a reviewer on Reddit. Then, once the pan was paired, no matter how many times I tap the pan after the stovetop instructs me to do so, it does not connect. I'll be taking the battery out and using it as a regular old frying pan, I guess. It's not worth another couple of hours of my life that I'll never get back to try and make it work. Someone else called it a dumb pan. I agree.

I'd like to update my prior review, but can't seem to edit it, so I'll add a new review. GE tech support finally tested my situation in their lab and confirmed the problem. They also discovered that this issue was in the instructions for using the pan with my GE Profile Cooktop. They discovered that if you follow the directions and first pair the pan with the cooktop, it will not work. You need to: clear all the pairing from the cooktop and then 1) put the pan on the burner 2) press precision cooking on the cooktop and 3) tap the pan button twice. This will automatically pair the pan and allow precision cooking.

So far a dumb pan, not a smart one

After working with GE for over two months and having them send a technician to the house (who knew nothing about the pan, but did replace the bluetooth/wifi board in the cooktop), the pan still does NOT work. I got the pan as a 100% discount promotion with the cooktop. It is a very expensive, regular pan, NOT a smart pan. GE cannot even figure out how to send me a replacement, working pan. Many complaints about this pan on reddit.
