If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. I am writing review as to the Hestan bluetooth sending unit, the Hestan App, and the general construction quality of Hestan. TO GE: GE should allow users to control their own burners using the app just like the oven. Why can™™t I preset the ™Precision Cooking™ button to boil water the same way everyday? It should be a programable macro with a series of commands. This would help bc the Hestan pans don™™t work in my experience and the GE RANGES built for this system are now useless in one of their primary features. 1. HESTAN PAN WARPING. I deglazed with white wine and the Hestan pan I used warped. This should not occur with even a mediocre quality pan. The stainless steel and other metals used are too thin. It has never happened to me before using even the cheapest pan. 2. HESTAN MANUAL. The manual contains incorrect instructions. Issues are vague or missing altogether. The app connects well initially can™™t I cannot use it to direct and control actual cooking via the app. 3. BLUETOOTH ACTIVATION. There is no light or beep to show Bluetooth connection as stated by Hestan orally and in writing. Instead of admitting it doesn™™t work, Hestan suggests tapping out a whole song on the pan when the Bluetooth fails to connect. Actually, wait 5 seconds then tap only 2 times. Wait a couple more seconds. Repeat. When you connect to App, expect the App to ask you to reconnect the pan multiple times even though it is already connected. these work around are a poor excuse for a button that does not function with the app and range. Others at Hestan say to use a stainless steel spoon to activate the Bluetooth. Seriously? A magic spoon wand to repeatedly tap a pan just to turn it on? These are all excuses for a product that is sub quality and does not operate consistently. A 5 minute timer should be used to maintain Bluetooth connection and confirm that with the Hestan and GE apps should be included. The app should know if the range is already connected to the pan instead of making the user complete all the steps repeatedly. 4. POOR OPERATION PROGRAMMING. The app and pan must be repeatedly reconnected w Bluetooth many times to turn on the pan. This renders the product unusable as a practical matter. 5. APP RECIPES. if I have one 11 inch Hestan pan, why do endless recipes for other dishes and pans appear? I don™™t want to see an oven recipe when I™™m trying to use the pan. 6. APP HANGS. I get the ™Connecting to Cue™ message often. The product hangs and is unusable. Is this the GE range preventing Hestan from working? I don™™t know. 7. BLUETOOTH CONNECTION W RANGE. when I have been able to connect the pan to the range, it works great. My range also works seamlessly with my Google Nest Wifi- I can control my oven by voice. Given that my range otherwise works flawlessly, I don™™t agree w Hestan when they claim this is all GE™™s fault. I think Hestan simply didn™™t make a product that works.
